I'm reminded in God's word in several individuals' lives how thier lives were interrupted by circumstances, such as Saul from Tarsus in Acts chapter 9, when he was struck down on the road to Damascus by God. He was on his quest to kill all those who were in the WAY. The Scriptures tell us that Saul was breathing threats and murders against the disciples of the Lord (Acts 9:1). But God got Saul's attention in a way he never expected. He sent Saul crashing to the ground with a blazing light and instucted him to enter the city and wait for instructions. When Saul opened his eye's, he found himself blind and had to ask others to lead him by the hand into the city. Saul definitely recieved a wake-up call from the Lord that day. In one unforseen moment, God had Saul's undivided attention. Striking him with the adersity of blindness and speaking to him, "Why are you persecuting Me?" God had Saul exactly where He wanted him. Saul was tenacious about following the letter of the law and ridding the world of Christians was his main mission. But, confronted with the real truth in his blindness, he could see clearly now. Saul had a complete turnaround and within a matter of days he was proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues(Acts 9:20). This divine interruption from God in Saul's life brought about a transformation. He was a new creature in Christ Jesus now. He was as tenacious and relentless, more so, but for God now. Saul, known to us Paul the Apostle, expanded the Gospel and churches grew across the Roman world. He is responsible for writing more than two thirds of the New Testament and a great deal of it was written while he was in prison.
I'm reminded of my own life being interrupted by God. I was living a dark empty life, filled with dysfunction and deep emotional pain. My only desire in life was to be numb by any means of substance I could get. I would live my life merely existing to be numb. This one particular night, I was so ripped out of my mind that I mysteriously ended up at Mom's home in one of her spare bedrooms. She would not have left her house unlocked, living in a not-so-safe neighborhood. When I woke up, I heared a voice speak to me and I saw a vision of myself immediately collapsed over the steering wheel of my car. The voice said, "I brought you home last night". I thought I'd lost my mind and had fried my brains to see a vision and hear a voice. I quickly dismissed this by rationalizing, " I've done too many drugs." I went about my day getting ready to do the same old thing, living a dark empty life -just a different day. I had a plan to finish what I was doing the night before. I was driving down the highway headed north on a Sunday evening and again I heard a voice say to me, "I brought you home last night' and immediately saw a vision of myself collapsed over the steering wheel of my car. This time, I became very afraid. I could not rationalize this voice. I thought to myself, "I just won't party tonight because I'm probably not going tosurvive what I'm about to do. I'll just be safe. Surely there's a church service going on somewhere in this town. It's Sunday night. Mabey I can find out why God is talking to me." I ended up in this inner city church. I walked in and sat on the very back row. The service was nearly to a close. I remember feeling thoughts hopelessness. The enemy of my soul was telling me to get up and get out of there. This was for these people, but not for the likes of someone like me. The pastor said, "The Devil is telling someone that they've gone to far that God can't reach them. "TheDevil is telling someone that they've gone so far that God can't reach them." My ears perked up. I thought, "He's reading my mail". At that exact moment, a woman asked me if I wanted to pray. I was not offended at prayer. After all, I had grown up Catholic, so we had a lot of instructions in prayer. She did not say, "Would you like to be saved?' See, that would not have helped me, because I did not think that someone like me could be saved. I walked forward to the front of the churh with her and I remember saying, "God, if you want this life, I'll give it to you." I was sure He would refuse that offer, but it wasn't like that. It's exactly what he wanted. I did not see it, but I felt mercy and love run to me and literally, I felt chains were broken off my hands and feet, heart and mind. I had a sense of God's liquid love pouring on me and in me. It was awesome! My heart was light. I was confronted with a living, loving, forgiving God that wanted me. That just blows me away. That beautiful interruption in my life was over 25 years ago. Jesus set me free and has kept me free. I have been on the Glory Road since that sunday night and all I can say to you is consider where you're at and where you are going. Your interruption may very well be God's intervention. He loves you so very much, friend. Let Him bring hope into your life. You may regret a lot of things in your life. I promise you , knowing Him is not one of them. God bless you. Nero couldn't crush Him, Hitler couldn't silence Him, the New Age can't replace Him, and the talk shows can't explain Him away!

He is Light, Love, Longevity and Lord. He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God. He is Holy, Righteous, Mighty, Powerful and Pure. His ways are right,His word is eternal, His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me and you! He is my Redeemer, He is my Saviour, He is my Guide, He is my Peace. He is my Joy, He is my Comfort, He is my Lord and He is MY KING! He rules my life.

I serve Him because His bond is Love, His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life. I follow Him because He is the Wisdom of the wise, the power of the powerful, the Ancient of days, the ruler of rulers, the leader of leaders, the the overseer of the overcomers, and the sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come!

And if that seems impressive to you, try this on for size.

His goal is a relationship with ME! He wil never leave me, never forsake me, never mislead me, never forget me, never overlook me, and never cancel my appointment in His appointment book! When I fall, He lifts me up. When I fail, He forgives. When I am weak, He is strong. When I am lost, He is the Way. When I am afraid, He is my courage. When I stumble, He steadies me. When I am hurt, He Heals me. When I am broken, He mends me. When I am blind, He leads me. When I am hungry, He feeds me. When I face trials,He is with me. When I face persecution, He shields me. When I face problems, He comforts me. When I face loss, He provides for me. When I face Death, He carries me Home!

"That's My King"

The late Dr. S. M. Lockeridge, a pastor from San Diego, California
said these words in a sermon in Detroit in 1976:

My King was born King. The Bible says He's a Seven Way King. He's the King of the Jews - that's an Ethnic King. He's the King of Israel - that's a National King. He's the King of righteousness. He's the King of the ages. He's the King of Heaven. He's the King of glory. He's the King of kings and He is the Lord of lords. Now that's my King.

Well, I wonder if you know Him. Do you know Him? Don't try to mislead me. Do you know my King? David said the Heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork. My King is the only one of whom there are no means of measure that can define His limitless love. No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of the shore of His supplies. No barriers can hinder Him from pouring out His blessing.

He's enduringly strong. He's entirely sincere. He's eternally steadfast. He's immortally graceful. He's imperially powerful. He's impartially merciful. That's my King. He's God's Son. He's the sinner's saviour. He's the centerpiece of civilization. He stands alone in Himself. He's honest. He's unique. He's unparalleled. He's unprecedented. He's supreme. He's pre-eminent. He's the grandest idea in literature. He's the highest personality in philosophy. He's the supreme problem in higher criticism. He's the fundamental doctrine of historic theology. He's the carnal necessity of spiritual religion. That's my King.

He's the miracle of the age. He's the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him. He's the only one able to supply all our needs simultaneously. He supplies strength for the weak. He's available for the tempted and the tried. He sympathizes and He saves. He's the Almighty God who guides and keeps all his people. He heals the sick. He cleanses the lepers. He forgives sinners. He discharged debtors. He delivers the captives. He defends the feeble. He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate. He regards the aged. He rewards the diligent and He beautifies the meek. That's my King.

Do you know Him? Well, my King is a King of knowledge. He's the wellspring of wisdom. He's the doorway of deliverance. He's the pathway of peace. He's the roadway of righteousness. He's the highway of holiness. He's the gateway of glory. He's the master of the mighty. He's the captain of the conquerors. He's the head of the heroes. He's the leader of the legislatures. He's the overseer of the overcomers. He's the governor of governors. He's the prince of princes. He's the King of kings and He's the Lord of lords. That's my King.

His office is manifold. His promise is sure. His light is matchless. His goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes. His Word is enough. His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. I wish I could describe Him to you . . . but He's indescribable. That's my King. He's incomprehensible, He's invincible, and He is irresistible.

I'm coming to tell you this, that the heavens of heavens can't contain Him, let alone some man explain Him. You can't get Him out of your mind. You can't get Him off of your hands. You can't outlive Him and you can't live without Him. The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him. Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him. The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree about Him. Herod couldn't kill Him. Death couldn't handle Him and the grave couldn't hold Him. That's my King.

He always has been and He always will be. I'm talking about the fact that He had no predecessor and He'll have no successor. There's nobody before Him and there'll be nobody after Him. You can't impeach Him and He's not going to resign. That's my King! That's my King!

Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Well, all the power belongs to my King. We're around here talking about black power and white power and green power, but in the end all that matters is God's power. Thine is the power. Yeah. And the glory. We try to get prestige and honor and glory for ourselves, but the glory is all His. Yes. Thine is the Kingdom and the power and glory, forever and ever and ever and ever. How long is that? Forever and ever and ever and ever. . . And when you get through with all of the ever's, then . . .Amen!

Good day Beloved Ones! I was pondering on this one word this morning (perception) and several thoughts came to mind. How many times have we had a wrong perception of a situation or circumstance or of a individual or even of God. To have a right perception and a clearer vision we need to have a right heart! There is a parable in ( Luke 19:9-14) And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:(10) Two men went up to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. (11) The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: God I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers,or even like this tax collector.(12) I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all I get. (13) But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying ,God be merciful to me,the sinner! Jesus did not come to rub it in ! He came to rub it out!!! Remember when Jesus de-horned you . We need to remain humble and grateful!!! None of us deserve Grace it is The Gift of God!!! I am so thankful that He has written my name in The Lambs Book of Life! Remember God did not make you because He needed you He made you because He wanted you! Beloved take hold of these truths and ingest them for yourself.( Micah 6:8) ( He has showed you O man what is good and what does The Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God)You think about that today!:-)

Good day to you beloved ones!!! I was pondering on these thoughts and scriptures this morning with these two words in my mind (Pleasing Him) Hebrews 11:6 says,( And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him) Hebrews 11:5 says (By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death;and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God. ( 2 Timothy2:4)(No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.( 2 Timothy 2:7)( Consider what I say for the Lord will give you understanding in everything) Beloved consider this one question and ask yourself do I live my life to please God with my life, my time, and my resources.(Mark 4:19)But the worries of the world and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word , and it becomes unfruitful.Jesus is looking for people who have the fruit of repentance! He is looking for people who bear fruit.(Colossians 1:10)says ( And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God...( John15:1-5)Jesus said every branch that remains in me I prune that it may bear more fruit. Beloved let us consider Him who gave us His all so we could have His all.
Therefore since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. ( Hebrews12:1)
Pleasing Him!
